Experience an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in educational settings near Gridley, CA! This contract position as a school-based Occupational Therapist (OT) offers a dynamic work environment across two assignments, supporting students at different sites over the summer session.
Starting June 8th, youll provide high-quality OT services on approximately three days per week, beginning at the Mesa Vista location in Gridley, then transitioning to another site nearby. The assignment concludes July 2nd, giving you a focused, rewarding short-term commitment that fits well with other commitments or summer plans.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid California OT license or eligibility for licensure
- Previous pediatric or school-based OT experience strongly preferred
- Expertise in addressing sensory, motor, and adaptive skills in K12 populations
- Strong collaborative mindset and ability to consult effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to work across two locations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Deliver direct therapy and consultative services to students with a variety of needs
- Support students in building fine motor, sensory integration, and daily living skills
- Document progress, prepare reports, and collaborate on IEPs and student goals
- Travel between Mesa Vista and the second site on scheduled days to ensure continuous support
