An occupational therapy opportunity is available in an onsite school setting in Gretna, Louisiana, supporting students from PreK through 8th grade. This full-time contract position involves managing a high caseload designed to provide essential therapeutic services aimed at enhancing students functional abilities and educational experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions for PreK-8th grade students
- Collaborate with educators and school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
- Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with parents and guardians
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of Louisiana
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings preferred
- Ability to manage a high caseload efficiently while maintaining quality care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of school-based therapy regulations and IEP processes
