In this onsite role, you will provide supportive and innovative occupational therapy services across elementary, middle, and high school settings. Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid South Carolina Occupational Therapist license (required)
- Prior experience working as an OT in a school environment preferred
- Comfort with adapting therapy approaches for children and adolescents
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel between assigned school locations
- Commitment to maintaining accurate records and compliance standards
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy services for students in Kershaw Elementary, North Elementary, Andrew Jackson Middle, and High Schools
- Assess student needs, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions that enhance school participation and functional independence
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to foster student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide clear documentation for progress and compliance
- Advocate for student access to appropriate supports and learning environments
