Job Description

Embark on an engaging, impactful role supporting students across a K-12 environment as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. This contract opportunity invites you to make a real difference in the lives of children in a school setting, working onsite with a dedicated team of professionals. The upcoming school year promises meaningful work with a diverse caseload, further enhanced by a comprehensive orientation program from August 12th to August 14th.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois OT or COTA license required (please submit your license with your application)
  • Experience providing occupational therapy services in school settings preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, adaptable to varied student needs and educational environments
  • Enthusiasm for supporting students with diverse abilities and backgrounds
  • Commitment to working onsite throughout the academic year
  • Comfortable working with K-12 students; specific caseload and grade-level assignments to be determined

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy interventions to support student success and independence in school routines
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Assess and document student progress, making data-driven recommendations for accommodations and modifications as necessary
  • Participate in student support and multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Maintain compliance with state and district documentation, licensure, and ethical standards
