Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in a vibrant educational setting for a short-term contract from June 15th to July 10th. This role provides an ideal way to make a positive impact on childrens development while working with a dynamic interdisciplinary team. There will be no school activities on June 19th and July 3rd.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of California
  • Previous experience as an OT within a school-based environment
  • Familiarity with IEPs and service documentation in educational settings
  • Strong ability to collaborate with educators, families, and related service personnel
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Adaptability and organizational skills to handle varying caseloads

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy interventions to students in accordance with assigned IEPs
  • Evaluate and document student progress, adjusting interventions as appropriate
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate on developing goals and strategies to support student success
  • Provide input for IEP development, progress notes, and other required documentation
  • Offer consultative support to teachers and classroom staff to enhance student participation and achievement
  • Adhere to professional, ethical, and district/state guidelines throughout service delivery
