Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current and valid IL OT license
- Previous experience in a school setting, teletherapy, home health, or healthcare preferred
- Passion for helping children succeed academically, socially, and physically
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with students, families, and faculty
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services for K-12 students in accordance with IEP objectives
- Develop individualized therapy plans and set measurable goals based on student assessments
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student progress
- Document therapy sessions, maintain records, and evaluate student outcomes
- Provide both in-person and remote (teletherapy) services as required, adapting seamlessly to student needs
- Assist with home health interventions when appropriate, ensuring continuity of care from school to home
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and stay current with best practices in pediatric OT
