Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Valid licensure to practice Occupational Therapy
  • Previous experience working with children or in a school-based setting preferred
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
  • Ability to assess students needs and design effective, individualized intervention plans
  • Familiarity with IEP process and documentation for special education services

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students motor, sensory, and functional abilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor therapy plans tailored to each students needs
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to embed OT strategies within the classroom
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional input and progress reports
  • Educate teachers and parents on strategies to support students developmental goals at school and home
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Adapt therapy techniques and activities to best engage students within the school environment
