Key Qualifications:

  • Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school environment
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with educators, administrators, and families
  • Ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment interventions
  • Compassion, patience, and creativity in addressing diverse student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students strengths and areas for improvement impacting academic performance
  • Develop and implement individual or group therapy sessions tailored to students IEP and 504 plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students goals and overall well-being
  • Provide training and consultation to teachers, staff, and caregivers on strategies to promote student participation
  • Monitor and document student progress; adjust interventions as needed
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and maintain compliance with school and state requirements
