Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license for the state of Arizona
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills
- Ability to develop effective, individualized therapy plans
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with IEP teams, teachers, and parents
- Commitment to fostering student independence and participation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct student screenings and comprehensive occupational therapy assessments
- Interpret results and communicate findings clearly with the IEP team and families
- Develop, implement, and regularly monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and/or 504 plans tailored to student needs
- Deliver direct therapy services to identified students, both individually and within group settings
- Offer guidance and support to teachers, as well as supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as needed
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with school and regulatory requirements
