Job Description

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California
  • Previous experience working in a school-based setting preferred
  • Strong assessment, planning, and organizational abilities
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Excellent communication skills to support diverse student needs
  • Commitment to fostering independence and skill development among students

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students therapy needs
  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students within classroom and pull-out settings
  • Monitor and document progress, maintaining thorough and timely records
  • Consult with educators, families, and other support staff to optimize student outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Advocate for student needs and support integration of therapeutic strategies throughout the school day
