Key Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapy license in the state of California
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Demonstrated experience or training in school-based OT (not COTA)
  • Familiarity with education-related terminology and the Special Education process
  • Proficient in utilizing standardized assessment tools for school settings
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to a variety of caseloads
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to review, CDE OT/PT guidelines for public schools

Role Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and deliver occupational therapy services for a K-12 student population
  • Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and implement therapy interventions tailored to individual educational needs
  • Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to ensure a comprehensive approach to student progress
  • Document services and maintain compliance with district and state protocols
  • Travel between assigned schools within the San Fernando Valley, as determined by assignment

Starting on August 11, 2026 and concluding June 4, 2027, this full-time assignment provides a stable academic year appointment for professionals ready to make a positive impact in education.
