This contract role offers the chance to support learners growth and independence throughout the 2026-2027 school year, working 37.5 hours per week in a collaborative and welcoming school setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Experience or genuine interest in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare OT settings
- Adaptability to work with students across a wide age and ability range (K-12)
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Dedication to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
- Organization and documentation proficiency to manage caseload and compliance expectations
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored intervention plans for students with diverse occupational needs
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services individually and in group settings
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to integrate therapy into classroom routines
- Track progress, monitor outcomes, and update goals as needed to maximize student achievement
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to comprehensive student plans
- Foster student skill development in areas such as fine motor, sensory processing, daily living, and social participation
