Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) license
  • Experience or genuine interest in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare OT settings
  • Adaptability to work with students across a wide age and ability range (K-12)
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Dedication to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
  • Organization and documentation proficiency to manage caseload and compliance expectations

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored intervention plans for students with diverse occupational needs
  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services individually and in group settings
  • Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to integrate therapy into classroom routines
  • Track progress, monitor outcomes, and update goals as needed to maximize student achievement
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to comprehensive student plans
  • Foster student skill development in areas such as fine motor, sensory processing, daily living, and social participation
