This contract position offers the unique chance to provide essential OT services to elementary, middle, and high school students, helping them succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Your role will include assessments, developing and implementing individualized plans, and active collaboration with educators and families. Working with a diverse age group keeps your work engaging and impactful, guiding students as they achieve their full potential.
Ideal candidates will bring:
- A valid license to practice Occupational Therapy
- Experience, training, or strong interest in school-based settings
- Comfort working across elementary, middle, and high school levels
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive OT assessments of students referred for services
- Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy sessions targeting student goals
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for all interventions
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, administration, and families to support student progress
- Offer strategies and resources for educators and caregivers to facilitate student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insight for team-based decisions
