Qualifications and Experience:

• Active New Mexico occupational therapist license required
• Preferred experience with school-aged children, ideally in school-based settings
• Versatility to effectively support students in elementary, middle, and high school environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working alongside educators, families, and other therapists
• Passion for fostering each students abilities and celebrating their progress

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide direct and consultative OT services to students, promoting success in academic and functional school activities
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate therapeutic strategies within classroom routines
• Maintain detailed and compliant documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate actively with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Stay current with best practices and continue growing your skills through ongoing professional learning
