Located near Fremont, MI, this role offers both full and part-time positions, with flexibility for up to 40 hours per week. Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Certification as a licensed Occupational Therapist in the state (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working with students in elementary, middle, or high school settings
- Familiarity with IEP processes and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Adaptability to various school environments and a passion for empowering young people
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students needs and develop customized intervention plans
- Provide therapy sessions individually and in groups, focusing on improving fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
- Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and families to ensure holistic support
- Maintain clear and thorough documentation on student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting for each student
- Stay current on best practices and educational standards in school-based OT
