An opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide specialized therapeutic services within school settings. This role involves working with students to enhance their functional abilities, support educational goals, and promote independence through tailored interventions. The position requires travel to various school locations within the Frederick, MD area, offering a dynamic and engaging work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and individualized treatment plans for students
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Provide consultative support and training to school staff regarding accommodations and adaptive strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with appropriate state credentials
- Experience working in school-based settings is highly preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently across multiple school sites
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, families, and school personnel
