Job Description
Serving K-12 students across multiple schools in Colorado Springs, CO, this full-time Occupational Therapist opportunity involves supporting a diverse caseload within a public school district for the 2025-26 school year. The position offers a blend of direct and indirect OT services, including evaluations, Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, and both direct therapy sessions and consulting with school teams.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive OT evaluations to inform student goals and intervention plans
- Developing, implementing, and documenting IEP goals and progress
- Delivering direct OT services to students across an itinerant caseload model
- Collaborating with educators, families, and support staff to optimize student outcomes
- Participating in team meetings and maintaining accurate records of services provided
- Providing part-time (approximately 60 minutes monthly) in-home OT services as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Colorado Occupational Therapist license and current teaching certification issued by the Department of Education
- Experience working within school settings, preferably serving K-12 students
- Familiarity with school-based OT service delivery models and IEP processes
- Strong organizational and communication skills for both student support and collaborative teamwork
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and travel between multiple school sites
This is a contracting position with a standard workweek of 37.5 hours. Indirect administrative time and paid team meetings are included. Interviews are conducted via Zoom or in person to accommodate candidates, with immediate hiring decisions. Fingerprinting clearance is required prior to employment.
