Step into an engaging opportunity serving students across K-12 settings as an occupational therapist on a flexible contract basis for the 2025-26 school year. Work with a supportive team and help students access their education through a broad range of direct and indirect OT services. Full-time and part-time positions are available, including itinerant work with paid travel, providing variety and autonomy in your day-to-day activities.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Colorado OT license and Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching certificate required
- Experience working in schools, home health, healthcare, or teletherapy settings strongly preferred
- Comfortable managing OT caseloads; familiar with creating and implementing IEPs, conducting evaluations, and delivering both direct and indirect services
- Adaptable and collaborative, with strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel between school sites as needed
- Ability to work effectively with K-12 students of varying needs and backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of K-12 students in multiple schools, providing a spectrum of occupational therapy services
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and document student progress according to district standards
- Offer direct therapy, consultations, and support to students, teachers, and familiespossibly including in-home services or teletherapy
- Attend paid team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
- Utilize provided training to efficiently navigate district systems and protocols
