Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract role serving K-8 students in a supportive educational setting just outside of Fort Myers, FL. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Occupational Therapist passionate about empowering children to achieve their fullest potential in both school and life. Youll provide onsite services one day per week (7.5 hours), collaborating with a dedicated school team and receiving ongoing clinical mentorship.

Qualifications & Experience Desired:

  • Active and valid Florida Occupational Therapy License
  • Solid background in pediatric and school-based settings
  • Experience in home health or healthcare OT environments beneficial
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities
  • Enthusiasm for working with diverse elementary and middle school students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services to K-8 students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Assess and document student abilities, progress, and therapeutic needs
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to develop strategies for student success
  • Facilitate interventions that enhance fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills essential for classroom participation
  • Maintain timely and accurate records while ensuring compliance with state and district regulations
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise as an essential member of the school community
