Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing Occupational Therapy services within a dynamic educational environment near Columbus, GA. As an onsite OT or COTA, youll support students across multiple school locations, helping them achieve their fullest potential in a collaborative setting. The assignment runs from August 3rd, 2026, through May 21st, 2027, and offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day). Caseloads are tailored based on your experience and expertise, as well as specific needs throughout the district.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current and active Georgia OT license (required)
- Minimum of one year of clinical Occupational Therapy experience, preferably including pediatric or school-based settings
- School-based COTA applicants are encouraged to apply; those with prior school experience as a COTA will receive consideration
- Ability to work onsite exclusively
- Passion for working with children and adolescents with diverse therapeutic needs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students in alignment with IEP goals
- Conduct assessments to determine OT needs and progress
- Collaborate with educators, school staff, and families to implement individualized therapy plans
- Maintain detailed, timely records and reports according to district and state education guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, providing insight and recommendations
- Contribute to the development of strategies that foster student independence and growth
