Job Description

Advance your pediatric occupational therapy career with a flexible, impactful opportunity supporting K-12 students through virtual services. A contract opening is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide part-time servicesapproximately 3 hours per monthwith a student receiving virtual home placement support. Your role will involve delivering direct occupational therapy as well as consultation, all within an online environment, as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team.

This role is especially suited for occupational therapists with an interest or background in working with students who are blind or visually impaired. Collaborate closely with a Speech-Language Pathologist and Special Education Teacher to implement individualized accommodations and foster student success.

Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapist license (please submit license verification)
  • Prior experience as a school-based OT preferred
  • Strong history supporting students with disabilities in educational contexts
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively with SLPs, special education staff, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Skilled in providing consultation and services virtually/remotely
  • Experience supporting blind or visually impaired students highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Reliability and adaptability in scheduling and service delivery

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct approximately three hours of OT services per month, blending direct and consultative approaches
  • Coordinate session times around the students existing virtual therapy schedule for seamless support
  • Document student progress and maintain timely communication with team members and family
  • Provide expert recommendations to enhance student participation and independence in the virtual/home learning environment
  • Uphold all professional licensure and district credentialing requirements
