Step into an impactful role supporting students with diverse needs across multiple educational sites in the Fontana, CA area. This full-time, full-school-year contract opportunity is tailored for a licensed Occupational Therapist experienced in school settings, eager to contribute their expertise within a dynamic itinerant position. Youll collaborate with educational professionals, families, and students aged 3 to 22, many with mild to severe multiple disabilities, to provide thorough assessments, consultations, and interventions.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for school-based practice.
- Demonstrated proficiency administering the BOT-3 and Peabody assessments to students ages 322 with varying disabilities.
- Strong understanding of working with diverse and multiple disabilities, from mild to severe.
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites throughout the week (itinerant role).
- Comfortable working with a fluctuating caseloadno set cap on the number of students served.
- Skilled at leveraging assessment data to address parent concerns and make evidence-based service recommendations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and consultations for students across multiple sites.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and provide recommendations tailored to each students unique needs.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, administrators, and families to ensure integrated services.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adjust caseload management as needs evolve.
- Develop and adapt schedules in alignment with district requirements and student demand.
