This opportunity is for a full-time Occupational Therapist to support Pre-K through 5th grade students within an elementary school setting in Flushing, MI. The role is in-person, providing hands-on therapeutic services Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year. This position requires a compassionate professional dedicated to enhancing the developmental and functional abilities of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to students ranging from Pre-K to 5th grade.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to develop and implement intervention plans that support student success.
- Conduct assessments and maintain detailed documentation of student progress in compliance with school policies.
- Facilitate classroom and direct therapy sessions tailored to each students needs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review and adjust therapy goals as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Michigan Occupational Therapy License.
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children, especially within Pre-K through 5th grade.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, families, and educators.
- Ability to work independently within a school environment and manage caseloads efficiently.
