Utilize your OT skills to help students thrive in educational environments, collaborating closely with educators to create functional and supportive learning spaces for every age group. Make a genuine difference as you assess students, devise and implement individualized intervention plans, and empower students to achieve their fullest potential.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in school settings at the elementary, middle, and/or high school level
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities for working closely with teachers, staff, and families
- Familiarity with IEP development and special education services preferred
- Adaptability to work with a diverse student population
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students functional abilities and needs within the school environment
- Develop and implement individualized therapeutic interventions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on IEPs and accommodations
- Support students with activities of daily living, self-regulation, and classroom participation
- Provide consultative and direct therapy services, with documentation as required by the state and school protocols
