Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in Michigan
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents, ideally in a school setting
• Strong understanding of IEPs and educational documentation
• Effective communication skills with students, parents, and staff
• Ability to adapt therapeutic strategies for diverse needs and challenges
• Collaborative, compassionate approach to problem-solving

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive OT assessments to determine students needs and recommendations
• Develop, implement, and update individualized occupational therapy intervention plans
• Provide direct therapy sessions to students, both one-on-one and in small groups
• Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and families to maximize students functional abilities within the classroom
• Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings and reports
• Educate school staff and families on strategies that support student participation and independence
• Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices in school-based OT
