Job Description
A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available in an elementary school setting, serving students from Pre-K through 5th grade. This in-person role operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year. The position is located in Flint, MI, and requires a valid Michigan Occupational Therapy license.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Occupational Therapy license is mandatory
- Experience working with children in Pre-K through 5th grade preferred
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Experience working within school-based settings is advantageous
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to elementary school students, primarily Pre-K through 5th grade
- Assess students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support student success
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom setting
- Track and document student progress according to state and school regulations
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
