Job Description
A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available in an elementary school setting serving students from Pre-K through 5th grade. This in-person role is based in Flint, MI, and is contracted for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. Working Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, this role involves supporting young learners in their developmental and educational progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to Pre-K through 5th grade students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success.
- Monitor and document student progress in compliance with school and state regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold a valid Michigan Occupational Therapy License.
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, especially in Pre-K settings.
- Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Ability to work full-time hours during the school year Monday through Friday.
