We are seeking two Occupational Therapists eager to contribute their expertise in a supportive school environment for a contract position during the summer session, running from June 29th to July 30th.
Ideal candidates are passionate about child development, skilled in school-based occupational therapy, and ready to support students unique needs as they thrive during the summer session.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in New Jersey
- Prior experience with school-aged children, particularly at the elementary level
- Proficiency in providing therapy services in a school or educational setting
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive therapy environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary students in accordance with IEP goals
- Assess students needs and develop individualized intervention plans
- Implement hands-on, engaging therapy techniques to cultivate functional skills
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation of student progress and services rendered
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support classroom performance and participation
- Participate in relevant meetings and share professional insights for student growth
- Ensure a safe, nurturing, and motivating therapy space
