Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of K-12 students as an Occupational Therapist supporting school-aged children across elementary, middle, and high school levels. This contract position offers both full-time and part-time options, with flexible schedules up to 40 hours per week. You'll play a crucial role in fostering student independence and inclusion, working collaboratively with educators and families near Fenwick, MI.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license in Michigan
  • Experience providing OT services in school settings (elementary, middle, or high school)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to adapt interventions for diverse learning needs and ages
  • Skilled in developing and tracking individualized OT plans and documentation
  • Collaborative approach to working with teachers, administrators, and parents

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students functional skills, sensory needs, and barriers to classroom participation
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy programs for students across K-12 grades
  • Work closely with educators to modify classroom environments and support students IEP goals
  • Maintain accurate therapy notes and progress reports for compliance and collaboration
  • Consult with faculty and families to share strategies that promote student success
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to review student progress and adapt interventions as needed
