This contract opportunity is located near Faywood, NM, and is full time, with 37.5 hours per week dedicated to working directly with students. Your caseload will focus primarily on elementary-aged children, with about 30 students total, but may also include some middle and high school students as needed.

Key Qualifications:

• Current state license as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Experience in school-based settings is preferred
• Ability to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and other support staff
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Knowledge of developmental milestones and strategies for supporting students with diverse needs
• Comfortable working with elementary, middle, and high school populations

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluate students needs to develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans
• Provide direct therapy services primarily to elementary students, with occasional work with older students as assigned
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to create supportive environments for academic and social success
• Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as required
• Support students in developing functional life skills and adapting to the classroom environment
