Job Description
Located in Fayetteville, NC, this opportunity is for Occupational Therapists to support students within a local school district on a contract basis from August 12, 2026, through May 27, 2027. This role is integral in providing specialized therapy services that enhance students educational experiences and developmental progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 15-20 hours of direct occupational therapy services weekly to students, based on an assigned caseload.
- Conduct evaluations, perform data collection, and complete necessary report writing and documentation.
- Collaborate with school personnel and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Utilize a workload model to balance direct therapy with administrative responsibilities.
- Maintain a central office location designated for all Occupational Therapists.
Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina Occupational Therapy license is required.
- Experience working in school-based occupational therapy settings preferred.
- Strong organizational skills to manage documentation and evaluation duties effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively with educational staff and families.
Schedule and Location:
- Full-time contract position, 37.5 hours per week excluding lunch breaks.
- Based out of a central office within the Fayetteville area.
- School calendar aligned schedule from mid-August through late May.
This role is suitable for candidates holding an active NC license or those able to obtain licensure by the end of July. Travel therapists meeting licensure requirements within the timeframe will also be considered.
