Key Qualifications:

• Active New Mexico occupational therapist license required
• Prior experience working in school-based settings is preferred
• Background in serving students at elementary, middle, and high school levels
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals
• Ability to assess students needs, adapt interventions, and track progress effectively

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services to students, addressing a variety of physical, sensory, and developmental needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans in collaboration with educators and families
• Support academic achievement and independence by enhancing students fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to comprehensive evaluations
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy interventions, assessments, and communications
• Offer consultative support to school staff and caregivers, fostering inclusive learning environments
