Qualifications & Background:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current and valid Occupational Therapist license for New York
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP process and relevant documentation
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Organizational and time management abilities that support effective caseload management

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students strengths and areas of need related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-help, and participation in classroom activities
  • Develop, document, and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with educational goals
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to integrate therapeutic interventions within the classroom setting
  • Provide both direct and consultative OT services, adjusting your approach to the unique needs of each student
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and revision of student goals
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation in accordance with district protocols

Compensation for this position ranges from $26.36 to $55.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
