Job Description

Bring your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to a dynamic and supportive educational environment serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. We're seeking a skilled OT ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with a variety of needs, including emotional disturbances (ED), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), learning disabilities (LD), and more. This full-time contract role offers the rewarding challenge of working across campuses and collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Position Overview:

  • Full-time hours with the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of approximately 15-35 students
  • Serve multiple age groups (K-12), ensuring variety and the ability to develop broad expertise
  • Support students growth, independence, and success in inclusive school settings
  • Position start: ASAP, with the contract running through June 7, 2027

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in Connecticut (CT OT required)
  • Previous experience working in school-based or pediatric OT settings strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage and adapt to varying caseload sizes
  • Familiarity with supporting ED, ASD, ADHD, ODD, LD, and other needs
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with teachers, staff, and families
  • Compassion, creativity, and strong organization in delivering student-centered care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and create individualized treatment plans that address students unique needs
  • Deliver direct OT services as outlined in IEPs to promote educational and functional growth
  • Document services and progress, maintaining compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Consult with educators and parents to ensure effective carryover of strategies in the classroom and home
  • Participate in IEP meetings and actively advocate for student support
