Job Description

Make a difference in students' lives by providing exceptional occupational therapy services in a supportive educational environment. This onsite, contract opportunity offers the chance to work closely with a dynamic team of eight Occupational Therapists, collaborating across school settings near Evanston, IL.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Illinois Occupational Therapy license
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) and IEP (Individualized Education Program) processes
  • Ability to contribute effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Role Overview:

  • Deliver OT services to students in a middle school environment, following federal, state, and district guidelines
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations (initial and re-evaluations) to determine eligibility for special education services
  • Provide targeted support for students both through MTSS and as part of IEP teams
  • Consult and collaborate with educators, families, and staff to foster the generalization of skills within daily routines
  • Document services and maintain compliance with district and regulatory standards
  • Participate in building-level team meetings and ongoing professional development

This 35 hours-per-week contract position is available to start as soon as possible and is ideal for passionate Occupational Therapists eager to support students growth and independence.
