Make a meaningful impact by supporting K-8 students as a dedicated Occupational Therapist working on a contract basis. This flexible, part-time opportunity offers a dynamic schedule20 hours per week over two to three daysserving multiple campuses in the area. Your expertise will play a critical role in helping young learners improve their participation, independence, and confidence in the classroom and beyond.
Your qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution
- Active Occupational Therapist license in the state, with registration through the Illinois Department of Financial Professional Regulations (IDFPR)
- At least three years of experience providing occupational therapy, including three years within a school setting
- Deep understanding of the unique needs of K-8th grade students
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
What youll do:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy to K-8 students across two to three campuses
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized plans to address students developmental and academic needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily routines
- Document progress and maintain compliance with regulatory and district requirements
- Participate in student evaluations, IEP meetings, and team discussions to support holistic student growth
- Travel between campuses in the assigned area to provide seamless services
