Occupational Therapist K-12 School Setting (Contract Position)

Location: Escondido, CA
Job Duration: Current School Year (CSY) Contract

This opportunity is ideal for an Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based practice seeking a contract role within a K-12 educational environment. The position supports students in achieving their developmental and functional goals through individualized therapy interventions, collaborating with educators and families to promote successful participation in school activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide OT services aligned with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) across various grade levels
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions focusing on fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills needed for academic success
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate therapy goals into daily routines and classroom activities
• Utilize teletherapy approaches when appropriate to support remote learning needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with district policies and regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings
• Familiarity with teletherapy service delivery and healthcare-related occupational therapy practices
• Background in home health or pediatric healthcare settings is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of federal and state special education regulations and IDEA requirements
