Occupational Therapist Opportunity School Setting (Contract) Escondido, CA

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based therapy, home health, healthcare, and teletherapy to support students in achieving their developmental and functional goals. This contract position is based in Escondido, CA, working within a school environment to provide direct patient care and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to students in the school setting.
  • Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Implement teletherapy sessions to extend therapy services remotely when necessary.
  • Coordinate care with home health and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of therapy services.
  • Document all therapy sessions, progress notes, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student success and inclusion.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in California.
  • Experience in school-based occupational therapy.
  • Familiarity with home health and healthcare occupational therapy environments.
  • Competence in providing therapy via telehealth platforms.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and educational staff.
  • Ability to adapt therapy approaches to a variety of settings and individual needs.
