Throughout the 26/27 school year, youll collaborate with a dedicated team to foster independence and developmental progress for students with diverse needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active Illinois OT license
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Adaptability and creativity in implementing individualized interventions
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students in a therapeutic day school
- Conduct assessments to determine needs and develop personalized goals
- Develop and implement IEP goals in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
- Document progress and maintain detailed reports on student performance
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and support staff
- Create a positive, motivating atmosphere to encourage student participation and success
- 32.5 hours per week; actively engage in team meetings and professional development
