Key Qualifications:
- Hold a current Illinois Occupational Therapist license
- Background working in K-12 educational settings, particularly with elementary and middle school-aged students
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation within schools
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted occupational therapy services to students, focusing on individualized goals
- Craft and implement treatment plans aligned with each student's unique needs
- Support inclusive classroom environments and promote student independence
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert insight to support team decisions
- Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
- Serve as a supportive resource for teachers and families
