A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based therapy, located in El Cajon, CA. This position is focused on supporting the developmental and functional needs of elementary school students throughout the current school year (CSY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized occupational therapy evaluations and interventions to elementary-aged students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals accordingly.
- Support academic achievement by addressing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities in the school environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school district policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy licensure and credentials as required by the state of California.
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children in a school setting.
- Knowledge of school-based therapy practices, IEP development, and student assessment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators and families.
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently and provide evidence-based therapy interventions.
