A position is available for an Occupational Therapist to provide specialized support in school settings ranging from elementary to high school levels. Serving students across middle, elementary, and high schools, this role requires a skilled professional dedicated to fostering the development and success of children with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services in school environments tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create effective treatment plans
- Assess, document, and monitor student progress in accordance with school policies
- Support students in developing skills essential for academic and daily living activities
- Participate in meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams focused on student achievement
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience working in school settings preferred
- Familiarity with therapeutic approaches applicable to children in elementary, middle, and high school
- Strong communication skills for partnership with staff and families
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively in both full- and part-time capacities
Location: East Lansing, MI
