Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active state Occupational Therapist license and compliance with school-based credentialing requirements
  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents, preferably within an educational or pediatric setting
  • Solid knowledge of IEP development and implementation
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, support staff, and families
  • Ability to adapt interventions to address a variety of student needs, including sensory, motor, and self-help skills

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interpret results to help shape student supports
  • Collaborate with the IEP team to create and monitor individualized interventions and goals
  • Provide direct and consultative OT services, both in classrooms and therapy settings
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school, state, and federal regulations
  • Offer guidance and resources to staff and families to promote student independence and participation
  • Participate in team meetings, evaluations, and ongoing professional development initiatives
