A contract opportunity is now available for a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) with experience in schools. Bring your dedication and expertise to support students growth and success, working closely with faculty and families.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid OT license in the state
- Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills
- Collaborative mindset and the ability to build positive relationships with students, educators, and families
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students according to their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Assess students needs and develop personalized treatment plans aimed at fostering independence and participation in school activities
- Document progress and maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal regulations
- Consult and collaborate with teachers and other school professionals to integrate recommendations into the classroom environment
- Educate families on strategies and resources to support students skills at home and in the community
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute as a key member of the multidisciplinary support team
