This opportunity is for two Occupational Therapists to provide specialized support to K-12 students within a school setting in Douglasville, GA. The role is a contract position requiring 37.5 hours per week across five days, focusing on delivering therapy services tailored to the developmental and educational needs of children and adolescents.
Qualified candidates must hold a valid Georgia OT license and demonstrate proficiency in various occupational therapy settings, including schools, home health, healthcare facilities, and teletherapy. The ability to adapt therapy approaches to different environments and student needs is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to K-12 students, supporting their academic and functional progress.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student evaluations.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to foster comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards.
- Utilize teletherapy techniques when appropriate to expand service accessibility.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Georgia Occupational Therapist license.
- Experience in school-based occupational therapy, with additional exposure to home health, healthcare, and teletherapy settings preferred.
