A therapeutic day school in Dixon, IL, is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide specialized support to K-12 students. This contract opportunity spans the current school year, with a commitment of 3-4 days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to the unique needs of students in a therapeutic day school setting.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 36 students, assessing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student development and educational goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state regulations and school policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois OT or COTA license is required.
• Experience working with K-12 students in school-based or therapeutic settings preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and staff.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
• Commitment to supporting the holistic development of students within a therapeutic educational environment.
