An exciting opportunity awaits a credentialed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide Extended School Year (ESY) services in the vibrant metro-Detroit area. This contract position is ideal for a motivated OT skilled in working within schools, home health, and healthcare settings, and who is flexible in adapting to varied caseloads.

The assignment will run from July 7 to August 6, offering a part-time scheduleTuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:00 am to noon. The role involves itinerant work supporting students across multiple locations as caseloads are finalized, ensuring youll engage with diverse needs and experiences throughout the district.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active, valid OT credential recognized in Michigan
  • Previous experience in school-based, home health, or healthcare settings
  • Strong understanding of ESY services, IEP documentation, and special education regulations
  • Flexible and collaborative approach, with a willingness to travel between schools as assigned
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality OT services to students in alignment with their IEP goals
  • Collaborate with other professionals and participate in team meetings as needed
  • Adapt therapeutic interventions to a range of school and home-based environments
  • Accurately document progress and maintain all required records
