Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by providing essential Occupational Therapy services in a supportive educational setting near Des Plaines, IL. This contract position focuses on serving students from PreK through 8th grade, helping them build skills for success both in and out of the classroom. Working part-time, 2-3 days per week, youll have the opportunity to flex your expertise while achieving a rewarding work/life balance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid Illinois OT license
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Familiarity with therapeutic interventions tailored to various developmental stages
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Compassionate, student-centered approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct and consultative Occupational Therapy services to students in PreK through 8th grade
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress and participation
- Maintain documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Monitor and report on student outcomes, adjusting interventions as needed
- Provide support and recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive equipment
