Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a compassionate and driven Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a school district in the Denver, Colorado area for a full-time contract assignment. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside educators and special services professionals to help students develop the motor, sensory, and daily living skills necessary for success in the classroom. Responsibilities

  • Evaluate students to determine occupational therapy needs and eligibility for services
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans that support educational goals
  • Provide direct therapy services in individual and small-group settings
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and classroom modifications to maximize student participation
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and therapy records
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning

Skills

  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of pediatric motor development and sensory integration techniques
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills

Qualifications

  • Active Colorado Occupational Therapist license
  • NBCOT certification required
  • Colorado Department of Education Special Services Provider License (or eligibility) preferred
  • Knowledge of IDEA regulations and school-based therapy practices

Education

  • Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

Experience

  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred
  • Experience developing and implementing IEP goals is a plus
  • New graduates with qualifying clinical fieldwork are encouraged to apply

Compensation for this position ranges from $25.00 to $65.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
