Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based occupational therapist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, onsite position offers the chance to collaborate with a supportive in-house OT team while making a positive difference across multiple schools in the vibrant Denver, CO area. As an itinerant OT, you'll serve students from kindergarten through 12th grade, helping them access their curriculum and reach their fullest potential in a variety of educational settings.

Qualifications & Experience Desired:

  • Current occupational therapy (OT) license issued by the state of Colorado
  • Colorado Department of Education (CDE) OT certification
  • Experience in school-based OT preferred
  • Confidence traveling between multiple school sites and working with wide-ranging age groups (K-12)
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Passion for supporting students functional skills and academic success

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services onsite to K-12 students across several school locations
  • Conduct thorough evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress per state and district guidelines
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, other therapists, parents, and school staff to foster student development and inclusion
  • Support students in achieving their IEP goals by providing therapy aligned with their unique needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings, share insights, and contribute to proactive solutions for students success
  • Stay current with best practices and legal requirements related to OT in schools
