Dedicated Occupational Therapist opportunity available in Deming, NM, supporting elementary, middle, and high school students in an in-person school setting. This full-time contract role offers a 37.5-hour workweek working directly with approximately 30 students, primarily at the elementary level. Ideal candidates will have experience serving diverse student populations in school environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students.
- Deliver skilled therapy services focused on improving students functional abilities and academic participation.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and district policies.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional expertise.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with credentials to practice in the state.
- Previous school-based OT experience preferred.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 30 students, primarily at the elementary level.
- Strong skills in evaluating and treating pediatric populations within a school context.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
