Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Experience in a school-based OT setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP process and ability to participate as a vital team member
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Compassion and dedication for working with students of varying needs and abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to address students unique needs
- Deliver direct therapy services and consultative support within the classroom and therapy settings
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student progress and inclusion
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, providing insight on student capabilities and recommended strategies
- Maintain accurate records and progress documentation, ensuring compliance with district and state requirements
- Use creative, engaging therapeutic techniques to make therapy fun and effective
